Mowgli

We walked into Friends for Life facility, and within 5 minutes we found our soul mate! His name is Mowgli and he's 4 months old. We fell in love the second we met him! Our 7 month old son and him got along so well!! They're already best friends! So thankful and happy to have this pup as our newest addition to our family.

Brinn

We adopted Brinn who is now Zena in October at the barktober fest! We could not have found a more loveable and gentle friend to join our family. Zena is a quick learner and a huge lover. We were unsure how she would do with cats, but it turns out she loves them and just wants to play! Zena is glued to us at the hip, but we don't mind:) We are so thankful that friends for life took this girl in, and that we were able to bring her home so fast. She's our giant goofball who loves toys, treats, and running around the park like a mad woman!

Thank you F4L for all that you do! We hope to adopt from you again soon!

One year anniversary

Hard to believe it's been 1 year since we adopted Kratos, or more like he adopted us! He loves riding in the car, snuggling on our beds and killing tennis balls. Thank you friends for life for our big fur baby!

Mica

I adopted Mica around 2012, and she continues to fill our house with joy. She was a senior when I adopted her and she's slowing down some. I try to make life easier for her by carrying her up and down the stairs, but she still has that spunk and pizazz that made me fall in love with her. When we moved to Utah she got used to the snow quickly. Now I dress her up in sweaters and fleece to keep her warm as she ages. One of the pictures is her sleeping next to her brother, Storm. They just got new beds and were trying them out.

Willow aka Kristen

We adopted Willow in March 2015. Originally Willow was our Kennel Buddy. We met her on our very first tour of the shelter during our Orientation for Volunteers. She was adopted that day by another family but was returned 2 weeks later because she didn't get along with the resident dog. We immediately signed up to be her kennel buddy. After many fun outings we did a dog intro with her and our 12 year old Golden Retriever. They got along really well. It became harder and harder to return her to her kennel at the shelter after our outings so we decided to foster her. We took her to only one Saturday Adoption day. My throat felt like it was closing up as I said "good bye" to her. We decided that day that we couldn't let her go and she needed to become a permanent member of our family! She has been so much fun to have in our house. Her favorite time of day is her outings to the neighborhood park to chase her ball!

Happy Tail

It doesn't matter how good the dog's story is wrettin if the picture does not get the possible adopters to click on it. When they search any of the pet adoption sites, they will get hundreds of dogs for them to choose from. If the photo does not stand out or worse yet there is no photo, that dog will simply be passed by for the next one that has a cute picture. Always pay close attention to the background of the photo.

Phaga

This is Phaga (F4L name kept). He was adopted from F4L in August of 2005, while I was a volunteer. He is one of the greatest joys of my life. He's is my companion, friend and family member and has been with me thru happiness and sadness, the pain of divorce and the joy of finding love and having a child. He was approximately 5 years old at the time of adoption, making him almost 15! But age doesn't slow him down. He's still 5 at heart and has the same energy level (just bad knees now) He has been my 2.5 year old sons best friend since the day he was born. I'll be lost without him (we all know the time comes). I hope you all know the great joy you bring others by uniting them with their dogs. Phaga is the standard to which I will hold all other dogs...and they'll never live up to his level of love, caring, obedience, understanding and support. He's been an only dog for the first time ever (since I had to put my 14 year old Vizsla down in January 2015) and I love that he gets to
be the only dog for now and suck up all the love we give him.

Thank you for bringing him into my life,
Michelle Russo
