Memories of "The Rock Miester":
Rocky was the shelter clown. He was always "up to something". I remember the story of Rocky climbing onto the roof of the shelter and running around on top of it! How he managed that was quite something!
Rocky was one of my all time favorite dogs at the shelter. Rocky was adopted out to a home not too far from the shelter. Soon after, Rocky decided, on his own, to come back to the shelter"s front door! He had to cross a very busy street to do this too!
Rocky stayed at the shelter for a while, then was adopted out again--only to be returned once again. He always had that "look" in his eye that said, "watch me, I can do anything!"
What Rocky was best at, was making me laugh. He could cheer me up on any day. He was a very loving sweet boy that I was very fond of.
Rocky finally found his forever home about a year ago. We knew the folks that referred Rocky's new parents to the shelter--we know that they loved Rocky dearly and he had a wonderful, forever home for the time he was with them.
His paw print will forever be on my heart.

I'm so sorry to hear he's gone. We worked so hard to find the right home for him - thankfully he was in his perfect home and with a family that loved him and got to spend what no one knew was his last year or so surrounded by love.
