Arrow finds her family!

My boyfriend and I just bought a house in August last year, just me, him, and my 8 year old Rottie/Rhodisian Ridgeback mix, Zeus. We had been contemplating getting Zeus a little brother ever since we decided to move in together. We showed up just to meet the dogs at Friends for life on January 16th. We met all the dogs and could not get Arrow out of our heads. Kathy, one of the volunteers was nice enough to come in on their day off, Sunday the 16th, to let us foster to adopt Arrow. We were back on Tuesday to formally adopt her. Since then it feels like she's been with our family forever. She's started playing with all of Zeus' toys (she loves anything that squeeks and rawhide). She was very reserved when she first joined our family but now she loves to say hi to everyone that walks within fifty feet of her. She is a protector of the house just like her big brother, and has quite a scary bark for such a sweet little girl. Arrow did not like her crate when she first c
ame to us, but now she's realized that we will come home for her every day. She has mastered sit and up, and we are working on stay and lay down. She is very willing to learn as long as she gets snacks when she is a good girl. Arrow's very favorite thing to be loved. She is 54 pounds of pit bull and she will climb right up on my lap and fall asleep, she gives morning kisses and loves belly rubs. Arrow and Zeus have started playing together and it's so sweet how gentle Zeus is with her, considering he is 110 pounds. Although, sometimes she does get on his nerves like a typical little sister. I can't imagine our lives without her and I can't wait to wake up every morning to the three loves of my life!!!
