My Sweet Edie!

I wanted a second dog (one I would feel safe with). Before I met Edie, I already owned a silky terrier/maltise mix. He runs the roost (or thinks he does). But he is just not ferocious enough to scare people off. I had a scare several months back while walking my terrier mix and then I stopped walking. I felt like a prisoner in this beautiful neighborhood. Now that I have Edie, we walk all the time (both dogs!) What I love about Edie is that she has the appearance and the bark of a big dog that says "keep your distance". But our secret is... if you came closer, she would probably lick you to death! She is such a sweeite and very patient with the little dog who thinks he rules.

I love the way she has to take her "baby" (any stuffed squeeky toy) with her everywhere she goes. You can see one of her babies on the bed next to her on the first picture. She also loves being in the great outdoors where she can run free! The second picture is up in Flagstaff... what a beautiful day! The third picture is Edie and my terrier mix (Reggie). They are patiently waiting for me to return home.

Edie has brought such joy to our lives since we brought her home in June 2011. We continue to discover all the tricks she knows (like catching popcorn in the air... Reggie lets it hit him in the face!) Now we are teaching her to leave a treat on her nose then telling her to get it. She's just about there!

Thank you F4L for saving Edie and introducing her to me. It was love at first sight!
