Thus we were excited when Woogy initially greeted with his ferocious bark. It was like he knew we were looking for a fierce dog to keep me safe. As some sort of rottweiler-doberman-pit bull mix, you'd think he was the poster child for dogs that could chew your arm off. Perfect!
Turns out, this fierce looking dog is really like one of those giant scary bikers with a big fuzzy heart that really wouldn't hurt a fly.
Woogy (also known as Woogy Chainsaw Rampage, Woog Master Flex, or simply Woogs :p ) is definitely a protector -- he has a ferocious bark when anyone comes to our front door and his tough look keeps people a safe distance away while we are running. But most of the time, he is a lover and a cuddling maniac. Be it his bed, our bed, blankets, plush toys, my fuzzy socks or your lap -- if it is soft or fluffy, he wants it. His bed is his security blanket/teddy bear. He drags it all around the condo with him and even brings it to us like a gift when we get home. For example, as soon as he hears the garage door closing when Tom comes home, he is on alert waiting at the door, jumping around when Tom gets inside, wagging his tails like crazy, and then he runs to bring his bed to Tom, prancing and jumping about like a kangaroo. It is quite an event; one that I look forward to each day. :)
It has been so amazing to watch Woogs come out of his shy, timid shell as he gets more comfortable and lets his loving, goofball personality shine. He is extremely smart, loves to sleep in, and gets so excited when you mention "park" that he will practically drag you to the car. He fits in perfectly as part of our family and has forever claimed a spot in our home and hearts.
Thank you F4L for introducing us to Woggy!
Kristen and Tom
