Our little Snuggles aka Marmalade

Late August 2012, we brought Marmalade (about 6 ½ yr old Lhaso Poo) home as a "foster to adopt" to see how she would blend into our family. It's myself, my husband and 22 year old daughter. We have a 14 year old dog Cassie (aussie/border collie) who was a F4L adoption in 1999 and we have a 8 year old kitty Sophie. We lost a 16 year old dog last November and we knew Cassie was lonely (and so was I). After just a few days I don't think any of us could see our future without Marmalade in it. Also, by this time we knew her name should be Snuggles because she wants to cuddle all the time and she reminds us of the "Snuggle" softener bear! So on September 8, 2012 we made our adoption of Snuggles final!

Here we are 2 months later and she has melted our hearts. Her personality is still coming out more and more, she's so much fun to have around and our Cassie loves having a companion again. The 2 dogs and cat play together on a regular basis, we go for walks with the dogs and they have fun taking turns as the "lead" dog (Cassie usually wins). Somehow from the very beginning Snuggles realized that Cassie's hearing was not so good and she wakes Cassie up when she hears the garage door open and somebody is coming in the house! It's the cutest thing ever!

Snuggles has been to our vet and had her teeth cleaned and one extracted (she wasn't too thrilled with us that day) but we want her to be happy and healthy. She's really good about having a bath and runs around like crazy when she's drying off!! She loves to sleep on our bed and I've included a cute photo of her sleeping with us. She also loves laying on the cool deck around our pool in this beautiful weather.

It's safe to say she has us all wrapped around her furry little paw but most especially me her new momma!
