Rocket the big red dog, came from Friends for Life in 2008. He quickly became best friends with Molly, a Lab I adopted from the Humane Society when I lived in Fort Lauderdale. Our little family was complete, or so we thought, until Jersey came along. Jersey, a tiny little Terrier blend, was only supposed to visit, but he ended up staying. He adores Rocket - it is quite touching to watch them interact because you can tell Jersey just adores his big brother Rocket. Wherever Rocket is laying, Jersey is right beside him. And wherever Molly goes, Rocket goes with her. I'm so lucky to have these amazing guys in my life (Molly too, of course!) and I will always be grateful to Friends for Life taking them in so that they could eventually join my family.
The picture of Jersey and Rocket under the blanket is them settling in after an exhausting day at doggie daycare.
And one day I came home from work early and no one greeted me at the door. I was concerned for a moment, but walked quietly through the house until I found them relaxing on the patio couch. I was able to enjoy this sight for a few minutes until one of them caught sight of me out of the corner of their eye and all three came flying through the dog door to greet me!
