Wylie Coyote

My husband and I had been talking about getting a dobie for well over a year when one day he says to me, "how about a rescue instead?" Wylie was the first dog we met, but we wanted to look around to make sure we were finding the right dog for our family. We knew when we compared every dog after to him that he was the one. And when Friends for Life told us that he got his name from "Wylie Coyote" as he was found in the desert being chased down by coyotes, we knew it was a sign because that's my husband's favorite cartoon!
Wylie had some minor health issues that took a few months to clear, but they never slowed him down! He is a wonderful companion in our home. He has rejuvenated our 5 year old sheltie's spirit, and even our two cats don't mind him. He loves walks, car rides and espacially the dog park! Everyone there knows him by name. He loves all dogs and people and tug of war with the kids. We weren't quite sure what to expect adopting a stray, but we couldn't be happier to have him in our lives. There was such a temperament difference with Wylie compared to the pound dogs, and I'm a firm believer its because of the care he received at Friends for Life. Thank you Friends for Life and his Foster families for this wonderful companion. Wylie's "estimated" first birthday is today, and we look forward to many more to come!
