Roma

Roma started out with us as a foster kitten. After she had been adopted and returned twice to the shelter (each time we took her back into foster care), we decided to adopt her ourselves. The second time Roma had been returned the shelter was told she didn't use her litterbox, didn't like other cats or dogs. We figured this was going to make it more difficult for her to get adopted.

Roma did not like going to PetSmart on the weekends for the adoptions either! Such a diva this girl was becoming! She seemed to be quite content here in our home though.

Last August was when we finalized her adoption. Roma now lives with 4 other cats and 3 very large dogs. She will walk right through the middle of the room when the dogs are there as if she owns the house. (She does!) She has a buddy cat named Tipp who hangs out with her in the den, kitchen and living areas of the house too.

What we did discover is that Roma has Megacolon. She needs to take medication twice a day so she can go #2. If she doesn't get her medicine, she strains and will go outside her litterbox. She hasn't missed the box in months! As a matter of fact since being on her medicine, Roma has turned Pavlovian. She is up on the kitchen counter at the same times each day, waiting for her "Stuff".

She is a total lap cat, still snuggles like she did when she was a baby too. We are glad she is happy here with us because we are happy with her.
