Luna (formerly Polar Bear)

We adopted Luna the first week of January. She was a wonderful way to start the New Year! She was nervous and shy at first, but quickly settled into her new home. She had full run of the house within a week. She is an extremely active kitten, curious about EVERYTHING! She plays and explores all day long. We take great joy in watching her pounce and leap on her toys. She has a large collection of them now, and carries them with her. (SHE has to do the moving though - if we move one of her toys out into the living room for her to play with, she carries it right back into the bedroom).

Luna is a silly cat, following us from room to room. She likes her privacy occasionally, but typically sits on the couch, computer desk, or kitchen chair with one of us close by. (As I type this, she's torn between batting a paperclip around on the computer desk, and looking out the window).

She had her four month check up on Friday (2/17) and the doctor said she is very healthy. She weighs six pounds now and everyone remarked at her size, remembering how tiny she was when she was first brought in to see them - how sick she was. Now she's a healthy, happy, curious kitty so full of life and energy. She's a wonderful addition to our family, and we count ourselves lucky to have her in our lives.

Luna's foster family was kind and helpful. Her foster mom obviously cared deeply about her charges. They did an amazing job nursing Luna back to health. We would like to thank all of you at Friends for Life for all that you do.
