Bella aka Tulip

We brought Bella aka Tulip, home with us 1 year ago in April. Friends for Life had us take her on as a foster @ first to make sure she did okay with out "boys" @ home, They all did fine getting to know each other, Mr. Jynx, accepted her with a shrug, Huxley, pouted for a bit about a newcomber, but as long as he retained his "boss" position all was well. Unfortunately a few days later Bella, became very ill, unable to eat or drink and became quite weak. I took her into see my vet early Sat. am, who proceeded to say she was a very ill puppy, and we needed to go to the emergency clinic, I contacted Friends for Life, who okayed the visit, and from there okayed a blood transfusion after she was diagnosed with an Auto Immune disease. After being sent home on some heavy duty medication that had to be given for a couple of months, Bella, was weaned off the meds and followed up doing well. It was decided that the problem came from a reaction to vaccinations, so Bella has to stay around
"friends" that we know are "okay" since it would be a risk on her life to give her any further vaccines. She has adapted well. She loves her "brothers", loves to chase Mr Jynx when he chases his ball or toy down the hall (much to his dismay)...but he tolerates it, noisily, which Bella, ignores. Huxley, has remained the boss which Bella accepts. She is now a "chubby" happy little girl. Thanks to Friends for lIfe for saving her life twice. She is my husbands little "princess". Liz Ludwig
