Whisper's Update

This is just a quick update to let you know that Whisper is doing well in her forever home and we are loving her so much. I'm sorry that I don't have the computer program to send pics but if you have access to her pre-adoption picture, she looks just as beautiful as ever. She is getting on in years now (her therapist thinks she's probably older than first estimated) so she spends a lot of her time snoozing but she always greets us on her feet when we come home and really bangs her furry tail against the cabinets when she wags it.

Whisper goes to swimming therapy with animal therapist Jeff Flocker @480-390-3183 in Gilbert, who does a terrific job with her. Jeff specializes in canine rehabilitation after many years as a human chiropractor. She swims very calmly and smoothly with him and it is such good exercise for her. Walks around the lake these days are a bit more than she can do. But she still considers "Neighborhood Watch" as part of her daily duties. She really wants to know what is going on down the street or next door. I've learned that she also enjoys standing with me at the end of the open garage watching the rain and lightning show like what we had in the sky the other night. Heaven forbid that she should get her fur wet!! (Except for the swimming. But for that she has no choice!!)

Another important helper in Whisper's life is Dr. Sam Wolfe, of Higley Pet Clinic, who we've stuck with since her adoption. He has been such a good source of information about older dogs (as is Jeff) and helps so much to keep her healthy. Dr. Tracy Wight of McClintock Animal Veterinary Care has been also exceptionally helpful when Whisper was receiving laser therapy. These three doctors/therapists are so caring and so very helpful and knowledgeable in keeping older animals up and active and happy (and of course, young animals as well). Whisper and Mother and I are all very grateful to them for their expertise.

That's it for now but we'll send more info and maybe a picture later.
