A New Family for Kratos

Our family had been without a pet for over 3 years. Our pet Hoshi passed away due to illness and our next property couldn't support a pet. We have since moved into our new home with plenty of space and children begging for a dog.
After Christmas, the search was on for the perfect new member of the family. My brother had adopted a rescue and we knew that was how we wanted to proceed. We found the Friends for Life website and happened upon Kratos' page on the site and have always enjoyed a bigger dog.
After looking at the website for a few days, my husband took our oldest daughter to look at the dogs available for adoption. Kratos caught everyone's eye and his unusual name was not that unusual for our older kids who realized his Greek name means "power". He was the gentle giant we were looking for.
It's been awhile since we have had a BIG dog, but you have to love a huge dog that immediately thinks he is small enough to sneak on to your lap while watching TV. He has immediately meshed into our home, our lives and more importantly, our hearts. He is thrilled to see everyone as we come home from school and work and is so happy to see us he frequently can not contain his excitement.
We are still learning about each other; he likes walks, destroying squeaky toys and lots of affection (which he gets in spades) and only dislikes being left behind (which rarely occurs).
Thank you FFL for allowing us to adopt Kratos into our family. We can't imagine our lives without him now..
